Daniel and Davy Married. Lewisville Park, Battle Ground, WA {Battle Ground Wedding Photographer, Battle Ground, WA}

Before I start this post, I have a disclaimer. I have tried and tried to upload this wedding in chronological order several times today.  They just will not go in order.  We love this wedding and we love Daniel and Davy so much, we didn't want something as cliche as order to keep us from sharing these images, so PLEASE do not judge as you look at them.   They just have a mind of their own, kinda like our bride and groom, and want to be original, so alas they will be.

Davy is special to me personally.  I mean all of our brides are, but Davy, well, she's extra special.

She helped bring Wisdom into the world.  Davy was interning for our Doula, Patti Ramos, when we were going into labor.  I learned then about the calm and beautiful spirt that Davy carries.  She was a very important part of making sure I was comfortable and that Wisdom arrived safely into this world.

Fast forward three years, when we found out that Davy was engaged, we were thrilled and so honored that she would choose us as her wedding photographers.

At her engagement session, we learned that she and Daniel had just met online, but were so in love.  We shared that commonality, as Ike and I met on Myspace many years ago.  She told us at her session (which you can see here) that when you know, you know and that she had no doubts.

If you can't already tell, Davy is very connected with the earth and I love how she chose to show that throughout the details of her wedding day.  Everything was done with so much heart and intention.

I love her very natural wedding and I love how quintessential Pacific Northwest it was.

Daniel and Davy, we love and adore you.

It was truly an honor getting to spend your wedding day with you!

Nia & Buki Married. Villa Montalvo, Saratoga, CA {Saratoga Wedding Photographer, Saratoga, CA}

Nia & Buki's wedding was hands down one of our favorites of the year, one of our favorites ever!  Nia found us through a mutual friend, a bride we had shot the year before and we travelled down to sunny California to spend a fun weekend in July getting to know them and their family! Nia and Buki's wedding was SO beautiful, full of traditions and sentiment, love and laughter.  I couldn't stop smiling on that day, as I reflected and now as I write and prepare the blog - as you go through you can see the love just ooze, the support of their friends and family and you know that their future is bright!

Nia and Buki, thank you for choosing us to be your wedding photographers!  It was such a honor to share the day with you!

We love you!

Michelle & Yvenson, Married 2013. Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR {Tacoma Wedding Photographer, Destination Wedding Photographer}

Michelle has been my friend since BEFORE I could really shoot.  We met at a fashion show, she a student at the Art Institute, a budding and talented designer and I a very very fresh, young and enthusiastic photographer. I might have overcompensated and told Michelle I was more important then I was so that I could borrow her dresses for my first EVER stylized shoot.  She agreed, and voila! a friendship was born.  Michelle and I have shared many candid talks, good cries and fun ideas over the years.  She has been such a support and a fan and I believe in every single things she does.  The day she got engaged, I flipped out. It was something we had been praying and believing for since we first became friends.  When she suggested we shoot the wedding and she would have it NO OTHER way, I was overwhelmed. Michelle and Yve's wedding was one of my favorite of the year!  We love these two so much, it was like watching family come together!  Michelle's wedding was a direct expression of WHO she is and her giftedness - I mean, look at that vintage dress?  It was full of tears and laughter and the details were amazing!  No moment was underthought.  So excited that Michelle & Yve's wedding will be featured in TWO major publications soon and I am geeked to share!

We love you both so much and we are so thankful you are a part of our lives!  Looking forward to following your newest journey!

Tiffany & Brenden, Married: Martha Mary Chapel, Boston, MA {Boston Wedding Photographer, Boston, MA}

There is literally nothing cooler on earth then getting to photograph a friend.  A friend who is a friend...  a friend who is a photographer (Tiffany Von Photography)  and a friend that you do ministry with.  Tiffany is a passionate worshiper who LOVES the Lord.  The weekend of Tiffany's wedding we had two weddings booked, which meant we had to split up.  Isaiah covered a wedding locally in Seattle and I got on the plane with my sister and headed to Boston. Tiffany and I met doing ministry for the DreamGirlz Gathering, a non profit organization that focuses on empowering young girls through leadership development activities.  I immediately fell in LOVE with Tiffany's heart.  I have never met a person more humble, more kind and more in love with Jesus.  Tiffany dies to herself every day and serves, serves, serves the Lord and honors Him in everything she does - whether with a guitar, with a camera or with her actions!

When she called and asked us to be her wedding photographer, I burst inside. I knew this would be a emotional and spiritual event full of meaning and full of purpose.  Its special to be a part of anyone's wedding day, but to photograph your friend, there's nothing like it.  Tiffany found her perfect match in Brenden.  He cherishes her. So kind and so sweet - he is so gentle and their love ooooooozed all day long.

Tiffany and her AMAZING husband Brenden were married at Martha Mary Chapel in Wayside.  This particular chapel is special to the history of Tiffany's family as both her parents and her aunt were married there.  The day was perfect, EXCEPT the rain, but it definitely did not stop this show!

I will always remember this special day and what it meant to be the one to capture it!  Tiffany is so special to me!  SO thankful for this opportunity..... oh and how about that Vera Wang dress?! Gah!

Tasha & Moses: Christian Faith Center, Federal Way, Washington {Tacoma Wedding Photographer, Tacoma, WA}

So highly anticipated, so much emotion, so much joy.  One month ago today, Isaiah and I and two of our closest friends (Annie Garner of Let It Shine Photography, Idaho & Lloryn Hubbard of Lloryn Louise Photography, Seattle)  set out to shoot the biggest wedding of our short careers.  Big for many reasons: international love coming together (Tasha from the US, Moses from South Africa) , a church who watched a young red- headed girl grow up, go into the world, and fall in love before their eyes, two parents giving away their only baby girl and a much anticipated countdown to the moment these two would become one. 20 hour flights, 12 hour day, 2 make-up artists, 3 hairstylists, thousands of flowers, nearly 10,000 pictures taken, 1 wedding, two receptions, 1 ebony & ivory chocolate- vanilla cake, 4 photographers, 3 triplet boys,  a flower girl and a party booth, Tasha & Moses finally became one.

I could go on and on about how FABOLOUS these two are and how incredible their story is, but really, words don't say enough......   Tasha & Moses:  Isaiah, Wisdom and I were thrilled to be a part of your special day!  Thank you for choosing us to to capture such a special time in your life!

Shout out to my most faithful friends and photographers:  Annie & Lloryn!!!!!
